Workout day #2
! Really tired. Didn’t want to do it. But, I pushed through! This is going to be the hardest journey of my life but I have learned just in the past 2 days that recording myself doing the workouts every day is a big motivator for me. Usually I feel a lot smaller than I am so seeing me like someone else sees me really wakes me up. I can do this. It’s so so hard but I’ve done hard things before. I’ve got this. I cut some of my classes so I can spend more time with family and guess what? It gives me a new goal. How much weight can I lose before I go back to certain classes for spring semester?? Who’s to say you can’t eat good food when trying to live a healthy lifestyle?
Before this journey I thought the only way to lose weight was to avoid the carbs and eat under 1200 calories a day.
I remember beating myself up if I splurged and then would go try and work off what I ate....and let me tell you you cannot out work bad nutrition!
This cycle lead to years of yo yo dieting for me. I was fed up with not fueling my body, seeing results and feeling like crap!
All this changed when I learned how to eat balance macronutrients and portion control! What I love even more is this nutrition program is not about depriving yourself...yes I still get beer, wine and chocolate!
Nutrition has always been a struggle for me and to be honest I am still working on it! So let me ask you...are you happy with your nutrition? Do you struggle with sugar addiction, portion control, knowing how to fuel your body, eating with the family, or eating when living a busy lifestyle?

I am so proud and tell him every day how it makes me love him even more to see him take his health into his hands but WOW compare that photo to our 5K a couple weekends ago and he looks and acts like such a different person. .
He read a huge portion of How Not to Die and has been an advocate for our mostly #plantforward
lifestyle , he agreed to run with me, he is participating in #noalcoholaugust
with me and has been my biggest fan and supporter in all of my endeavors. He is even open to when I teach him some #yoga
and is helping me build my new website (coming soon!!!) and I can’t wait to see where life continues to take us because just like I said before we are STRONGER TOGETHER and he is truly my rock and most important person. Our motto is “never get soft” so we always like to push and challenge each other go be our best and stay aligned with our life vision. .

Busy but (mostly) fun day today. Took a walk on the trail early this morning, then met a friend and her little one at a park before lunch. Had swimming later this afternoon at @goldfish_oaks
and we moved up to Mini 2! Which was fun to meet new people and learn new skills- but a little sad that Connor is not with the littlest babies anymore 😭 because he’s 16 months old now. I was supposed to see some of my old coworkers and one of my former students for dinner tonight but I ended up having to meet with an HVAC company about fixing our broken AC so I missed it 😭. I will say- we are so lucky to be borrowing some window units from family and we had a bunch of people offer to let us stay with them should we need to. I’m sooo sore all over my body from the gym yesterday. Did I want to run...hell no....But I showed up anyways and I’m glad I did! 😁💪🏼🔥 Plus I got to wear my awesome new @zensah
socks!! Tonight is officially my last night at BMC...I am excited to close this chapter and move on to hopefully something better. During my run, I kept dreaming about the chocolate raspberry torte cake & ice cream cake I get to eat later!
