Tomato Confit 🍅 ⁣ ⁣ There are so many uses for this gem of a mixture and I can’t get enough. You can toss in a bowl of pasta, include amongst dressings, use as a spread on toasted bread or simply eat on its own. ⁣ ⁣ Ingredients:⁣ 2 pints cherry tomatoes ⁣ 1 cup olive oil⁣ 1 tsp salt⁣ 1 tsp pepper⁣ 10-12 garlic cloves, full⁣ Handful sprigs of thyme ⁣ ⁣ Directions: ⁣ Preheat oven to 275°F.⁣ Spread tomatoes onto a large rimmed baking dish in one layer.⁣ Add oil, salt, pepper, and garlic; toss gently to coat. ⁣ Lay thyme sprigs into mixture. ⁣ Bake at 275°F until tomatoes are wilted but not all have burst, about 1.5 hours⁣ Cool tomato mixture to room temperature; discard thyme. ⁣ ⁣ *Store tomatoes with oil in an airtight container (mason jar) in refrigerator up to 2 weeks. ⁣ ⁣ #tomato #confit #eeeeeats #foodphotography #foodporn #foodgasm #foodie #forkyeah #delish #eatingfortheinsta #food #like #follow #instagood #instafood #yummy #life #nom #food #chefmode #hungry#tomatoes #tomatoconfit
@whole30 tomato, garlic and basil confit! Throw a bunch of cherry/grape tomatoes, garlic cloves and basil in a shallow baking dish, and cover with oil, salt and pepper. Bake at 375° until really soft and bubbly! # I absolutely love this stuff! It’s so easy to make, and you can make as little or as much as you’d like. I made less garlic because this bulb had larger cloves...it smashes so easily at room temp to be able to use for salad dressings, meat marinades, etc. The oil in both of these has such a delicious flavor to them! The tomatoes in oil and basil is also just amazing... so so good!

Tomato confit 🍅🍅 .. .. .. .. .. Tomato confit is a wonderful way to cook these lovely veggies. The tomatoes are seasoned generously  with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic and herbs. After that, they are slowly roasted on low temperature until they are tender, juicy and slightly caramelized on the edges. This technique brings out their own sweetness and concentrates their own flavor. This simple and humble ingredient can elevate almost every dish, from pasta, polenta or risotto, to sandwiches or crostini or can even be served as a side dish.
