release a guide on how to support students with a concussion or other brain trauma.
Have had a few rugby lads over the years at school after a bad knock, and on a personal level helped my son with his mild concussions. ‘We have new guidance about supporting learning with concussion and other acquired brain injuries. It is designed to help teachers understand the effect brain injuries have on learning and wellbeing, and equips them with tools and ideas to help students re-engage in learning’ (MoE, 2019). At Loewenstein Rehabilitation Center, there have been countless volunteers. Today we focus on Debbie, who has been a volunteer for over 25 years! At a young age she was placed in Loewenstein for treatment. After being treated, she felt the need to give back. Even as a working mother, every 2 weeks for 25 years she donates her time to give haircuts to all patients around the hospital. “For many years I have been doing this, and I never get tired. Sometimes I would stay until three or four in the morning cutting hair. All the patients tell me that Loewenstein is a peaceful and serene place to be. If you are coming to Loewenstein to volunteer, it is a special thing to do”
PubMed (online database for medical studies) There you’ll find information on CBD and the effects on cancer, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, inflammatory bowel disease, osteoarthritis, pain management and more. A quick google search shows that CBD oil can be recommended for many things such as pain, sleeplessness, mood elevation, and anxiety. That’s a lot for one little oil to do!
