{ Utthita Parsvakonasana / extended side angle} Stärker dina ben, knän och vrister, stretchar dina hamstrings, ljumskar, ryggrad, midja, bröst & axlar och öppnar upp hela sidan av kroppen. . Se till att ha ett öppet bröst och en rak rygg och var extra noga med att det främre knät inte är för långt fram, 90° vinkel.💪 . Börja i tadasana, kliv bakåt på en utandning med vänster ben, ca 1-1 1/2 meter. Vänster fot ska vara vinklad 90° dvs tårna pekar ut åt sidan. Böj höger knä i en rät vinkel från häl till knä med tårna pekandes rakt fram.(utåtrotation) . Vrid upp bröstet, placera höger arm på höger knä (eller som jag gör på bilden med hö hand i mattan på utsidan av höger fot) vänster arm sträcks upp mot taket i en rät vinkel. Om nacken tillåter så tittar du upp på vänster hand. . Stanna i positionen 30-60 sekunder. Gör likadant på andra sidan. . Yoga at the Farmers Market on Saturday was great. The thunderstorm gave some nice ambiance while we practiced inside the depot building! Thanks to everyone that came to class, hopefully we will be outside at the one in August. (But I love that we have such a cute spot inside, just in case)

What does it mean to be vulnerable?  It means we can let down our guard, release the layers of armor that we’ve build around the deepest aspects of ourselves and dare to feel it all, the good and the bad. When approached with this intention, Utthita Parsvakonasana, (extended side angle pose) can expose us fully, and teach us how to allow our authentic self to shine through. Approaching our asanas and our lives with clear understanding despite the ideas or objectives we hold about the achievement is evidence of living authentically.  That means that we honor our body’s ability to deepen or open in this posture, and we sit within the discomfort of possibly not achieving our “goal.” Living and practicing this way, regardless of the outcome, is an expression of our vulnerability. The first often triggers self-judgment, the second anger with a thirst for vengeance and the third with mostly acceptance minus the judgment and anger.
