▪️The Spiritual Nutrition diet is a special type of spiritual vegan diet aimed at helping us transcend body consciousness, clean the koshas, calm the vrittis of the mind, clear the nadis, and expand the prana. For this reason, Spiritual Nutrition is more disciplined than a regular vegetarian diet, generally lighter and includes Spiritual Fasting and the taking of primarily live foods (uncooked roots, leafy vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds). These are called the food of the rishis (sages) or ancient Yogis, as well as the probable diet of Jesus Christ (the Essenes.) ▪️Five effects of juice fasting are: cleansing, rebuilding, rehydrating, alkalizing and resetting and reestablishing your holy rhythm (including the genetic and epigenetic programs) by reconnecting to your soul and its purpose. The first four effects of the juice fast naturally lead us to reestablish our holy rhythm and life purpose. As we fast and purify, the aggravating toxicities of the body and mind subside. When the mind is quiet, we begin to transcend the mind and naturally reconnect to our life purpose. ▪️Live foods are raw and uncooked foods, naturally fermented foods such as sauerkraut and miso and dehydrated foods in which the food temperature does not exceed 118°F. They are foods that have their natural enzymes intact and have not been processed by irradiation, pesticide use, microwave, artificial additives, GMOs (genetically modified organ- ics), or cooking (heated above 118°F through boiling, baking, frying, broiling, toasting, etc.). Live foods are rich in prana, which brings the prana force not only into the body, but also into the mind, helping to purify the 72,000 nadis and expand consciousness. Live foods are the most powerful foods for enhancing the flow of Kundalini/Shekhinah energy and cleansing the nadis through which the Kundalini/Shekhinah flows on the subtle plane. A kedusha-sattvic diet helps us become superconductors of prana. As the prana in our body increases, these nadis naturally open, allowing us the deeper perception of Truth and reality as Oneness. ▪️The wholeness of live foods is not only health-producing, but non-reproducible by science,⏬⏬⏬⏬⏬⏬⏬⏬⏬⏬⏬
It takes more than a little rain to keep me away from a vegan fare ☔️ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As always, the vegan and vegan curious people of kelowna did not disappoint... they showed up in droves despite the rain and the change in location this year. It makes my heart so happy to see the Kelowna vegan events getting bigger and bigger as awareness and compassion grows. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I love seeing all of my favourite vegan peeps and it’s so nice to be surrounded by such positive, loving, high vibrational people. And the food.... well let’s be honest, I go there for the food 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Whenever I go to any vegan event, I always make a beeline straight for @trishstreatsbakery so I can scoop up some of my favourite goodies before they’re all sold out 🧁 ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was so happy to see @wearevegilante there who I met at VegFest earlier this year. He makes the tastiest tempeh of life, and he’s always so friendly and informative and he doesn’t laugh at me when I ask 100 questions about how to cook tempeh. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I got some beautiful spices and chai tea from @poppadoms and I found out that they’re hosting monthly Indian vegan cooking lessons at Urban Fare, which I’m totally going to attend! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I also met @sweetnsassymacarons from Vancouver who makes vegan French pastries... I haven’t had a macaron in almost 4 years as they are traditionally made with eggs, so I’m not sure where she’s been all my life 🤷🏻‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was so happy to see my @critteraid_animal_sanctuary family there; they are truly earth angels for all of the lost, suffering and broken animals who need their help 🙏🏼 ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thank you so much to @earthtotableveganmarket for putting this all together and creating such an awesome event for us all!

Check out the recipe below: Recipe (serves 2-3)⁣ Ingredients:⁣ ~ 2 cups cooked Jasmine rice (used rice cooker)⁣ ~ 1/2 cup of each: dry roasted cashew, fresh🍍chunks, pan fried tofu, broccoli stems⁣ ~ 1 small carrots - diced⁣ ~ 1 small onion - sliced⁣ ~ 3 cloves garlic - minced⁣ ~ 1 tablespoon sliced ⁣jalapeño ~ oil, salt to taste⁣ 🍃Sauce (mix together): 1.5 tablespoons 'fish' sauce (recipe on highlights) & 1.5 tablespoons soy sauce/liquid amino⁣ ✔️In a heated non-stick pan with 2 teaspoons oil, sauté onion, garlic, & carrot until soft. Then, add broccoli stems, tofu, rice and sauce. Stir continuously until all rice are well coated with sauce. ✔️Finally, add cashews, pineapple, jalapeño and season well. Super easy and quick for any meal of the day. You can add other green veggies as well. Serve warm with some Thai basil.😋 ✨Few tips to get fluffy rice:⁣ - When you cook your rice, use a little less water than requested. I have always used my rice cooker, and my finger to gauge the water needed.😜 - Let rice cool down first.
