Marcus Epps, DB
6th round selection, 191st pick
HT/WT: 6’0”/191 lbs
Reads clues from QBs well, trusts himself.
His change of direction is impressive.
Consistent tackler and has gotten even better since his freshman year.
Quick to trigger an attempt at the ball.
Has some nice speed to drive.
Undersized, needs to put on some pounds if he wants any sort of playing time.
Very short arms.
Slow feet in response to route breaks.
Probably will still get torn up in tackling in the next level. ——————————————————
2018 Collegiate Stats:
62 TOT tackles (5.5 for loss), 1 sack, 8 PD
Horrible value pick, not impressed at all by this selection. Although we do need depth in some way through preseason, and if he makes the team he provides special teams help and depth. We’ve had success with late round DBs in the past so who knows.
How do you feel with the selection of Marcus Epps?
