This odd home can be found at 8906 112 Avenue, kitty corner to Commonwealth Stadium. According to City data it was constructed in 1945, and is built to a standard plan popular in the immediate post-war era. What makes this house particularly noteworthy however, is its use of clinker brick cladding. Although once an extremely popular building material in the city for its rustic Arts and Crafts-esque appearance, by the time this home was built it was largely out of style. This humble house was probably one of, if not the, last clinker building constructed in Edmonton.
