I’ve spent years perfecting my craft.
I’m always trying to find ways to help overweight, former athletic women become healthier, gain confidence, while shedding fat along the way. 👏🏼
Then, all of a sudden Jessica, Susie and Christine (*not real names obv*) come through Instagram with their fake butts and waist trainers, promoting “fit tea” and a standard booty program as their means of getting these bodies. 🙄🙄🙄
These people aren’t certified trainers, nor are they qualified to be giving advice on how to be healthy, or get fit.
❌ These people don’t know you.
❌ They will never care about your transformation.
❗️They only care about making a quick buck.
I recently unfollowed nearly every Instagram fitness influencer that I followed and compared myself to, and guess what?
✨ I feel a hell of a lot better without that clouding my vision. ✨
We are all perfect in our own way.
We are our own worst enemy, and at the same time, can be our own greatest asset.
It’s time we see the value in OURSELVES, and stop comparing ourselves to an unnatural, unattainable body type. ✌🏼 #ThankUNext

It’s 1st January 2019. I’ve already smashed it by losing 10lbs A DAY and only spent £100 A DAY with this new routine…
I don’t eat in the morning to save on calories, then I knock back a SKINNY COFFEE & SLIM TEA with a HERBALIFE SHAKE, whilst swallowing my JUICE PLUS PILLS, BALLOON PILLS AND FAT BINDING CAPSULES.
I then head to my new GYM with a 24 month contract which I will use for approximately 2 months, CAMERA PHONE in hand to show everyone my ‘progress’ and ‘workouts’ in my NEW GYM GEAR.
I will then come home to my SLIMMING WORLD ready meal, ensuring I have absolutely NO CARBS. Followed by a shower and then applying my DIET CREAM, DIET SPRAYS and magic FOOT CARE products, not forgetting my HYDRALISM LIQUID SUPPLEMENT.
In the evening I chuck on my AB TRAINER, shortly followed by my WAIST TRAINER whilst using my SHAKE WEIGHT and follow the latest ‘celebrities’ amazing FAT LOSS DVD’ and then finally do 1000 SIT UPS after my 5 MINUTE WALK to burn away all that stomach fat and chuck on my BODY WRAP when I get back.
Oh and after all this I will HAVE NO ENERGY, FEEL ABSOLUTELY CRAP, HAVE BAD SKIN AND HAIR AND FEEL DEHYDRATED. I’M STARVING BUT I LOOK GREAT, IF BY GREAT I MEAN TIRED, WEAK, ANGRY AND GAUNT.
OH! I have NO MONEY LEFT, I’ve GAINED MORE WEIGHT than I originally lost!
Long term sustainable weight loss is achieved through a mixture of cardio and weight training with a healthy balanced diet which takes time and effort . There is no ‘MAGIC PILL’ so DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GIMMICKS!

When I committed to blogging about my experience on my various gimmicks, I told myself that I would say “yes” to practically everything (or as much as I can afford) so that I can give an informed opinion at the end of the gimmick. In starting this blog I have one primary objective - to lose weight and get myself to a healthy place, while proving that there is more than one way to accomplish that goal.
So on Monday 17th, CWP Nigeria introduced the 60 day challenge. In this challenge, the organisers put together teams of people (I think there are about 8 or so) who are competing to lose weight... I really want my team to win this challenge.

I can summarize the effectiveness of all “detox” products in one word: horseshit 🐴 💩
Let me break these products down for you and why they are a scam. - For fat-loss reasons, you can’t rapidly lose fat from drinking any sort of concoction. It takes time & effort to gain fat. It takes time & effort to lose fat. If getting rid of fat was as easy as sitting on the toilet and unloading, everyone would be a lot thinner. - Your body isn’t full of toxic waste waiting to be chemically unleashed. And if it was, you would be extremely sick. Toxic overload is called “sepsis” and requires a stay in the ICU. It takes a lot more than a “detox drink” to cure sepsis. - Yes your body is constantly exposed to “toxins” but that doesn’t mean they are just sitting inside you. The whole purpose of your liver and kidneys is to discard of anything irrelevant to the body including toxins you ingest and breathe in. If your liver and kidneys are not properly filtering toxins, then there is a deeper underlying MEDICAL issue. See last bullet point. - To ensure that your kidneys and liver function optimally, it is your job to eat a lot of vegetables and fruit and stay hydrated with water. Water helps to flush out things your body doesn’t need.
So do your body and wallet a favor and pass the next time you think about purchasing a cleanse, fit tea, or detox/teatox drink. Most of those products have Senna, which is a laxative. Irritating your bowels with repeated diarrhea doesn’t equate to positive long-term health results.
If you feel icky after a weekend of drinking and/or binge-eating, make your next meal a healthy one. Guaranteed your body will do a fine job of ridding what it doesn’t need all on its own.

☕️Before we swan dive in, I'm not saying this to piss people off or make money. I get zero monetary benefit from this and, realistically, I’ll get a fair few unfollows. And that’s ok. Because how many followers you have is irrelevant. It’s about the relationship you have with each individual. And my relationship with you values honesty & trust above all else. Always. No matter what.
🦄That said, most of the people who use Apple Cider Vinegar (acv) were either told by a friend and/or articles online about the supposed benefits. And that's fine. But if you really dig into the research you'll find most of the benefits either don't exist or are massively exaggerated.
☕️Here’s the un-biased truth.
🍟ACV can reduce blood sugar. But only if you take it with a meal. And, more importantly, reduced blood sugar does NOT mean you burn more fat. It just means your blood sugar is reduced. And you know what else reduces blood sugar? Eating nutritious fucking food.
🍕Along the same lines, many report ACV helping aid in digestion. Research isn’t conclusive one way or another, but listen to your body. If you feel better with it, great, take it. If you feel worse with it, don’t. It‘s as simple as that.
🍔Most importantly, don’t mistake ACV for a miracle cure. A lot of people write about ACV as if it’s the sorcerers stone of fat loss, gut health, & mastering the Deathly Hallows. If it was, trust me, I’d chug it like it was Felix Felicis.
🥞It’s wicked affordable and even though it tastes like fermented foot sweat, I’d 100% take a shot everyday if it had all the benefits some would have you believe.
☕️Is it bad? No. Are there some benefits. Sure. For some people more than others. But per usual the simplest answer holds true —> eat your fruits/veggies/protein and moderate amounts of carbs and fats while paying attention to your total calories. Exercise at least 2-3 days/week. And have a lotttt of sex. Kidding. But seriously. Love you.

People think when you’re trying to lose weight you hardly eat, when in fact anyone who has done it properly will know you eat A LOT, but just of the right type of food and the right amount of calories. If you are hardly eating but still piling on the weight you are more than likely eating the wrong type of food and taking in far too many calories. For example most women will need 1500-1700 calories to lose weight (depends on the individual etc) and a goodfellas pepperoni pizza is 1600 calories. Now you’v only had one meal and it’s super high in carbs and fats but low in protein and you’v reached your daily calorie intake. Where as someone who will successfully lose weight will nearly eat 5 to 6 meals a day of nutritious food, getting in the right amounts of protein, carbs and fats. It’s really easy to drive up your calories when you eat crap. If you really want to lose fat you have to be mindful of what you are eating and it definitely would help to track your calories and macros (protein, fats & carbs) otherwise it’s a guessing game. 👏🙏👍👏🙏👍👏🙏👍👏 Today is “Rid the World of Fad Diets and Gimmicks”— which is perfect because I’ve been meaning to talk about what frustrates me most about the fitness industry. (sorry the video cuts off— read below for the gist of what I was trying to say!) ⛔️
I’m talking specialty teas, tummy trainers, fancy-looking gadgets for at-home workouts, living off of smoothies for 10 days straight… these things won’t get you anywhere long-term.
Of course some of these things will have an affect but they won’t last forever.
Just remember those teas are just a diuretic. Just remember those tummy trainers are just smooshing you into shape temporarily.
What works is something YOU will stick to— and that may be different everyone.
Just don’t forget that it’s a lot of marketing bull that makes people buy these things— in the end they’re no better off than eating simply well, and going to the gym to lift weights.
It doesn’t have to be complicated! You don’t need need a special diet and you don’t need any fancy workout gimmicks. Just stick with it and you will see results… longterm.

I made a three tea blend of Dragonwell green tea, Indonesian Gold black tea, and Huan Jin Gui oolong tea. Equal portions of each (by volume, ofc, not by weight!) with a three minute steep. Honestly it turned out so beautiful!
Since I never purchased the previously mentioned potential gimmick overpriced tea that this challenge is inspired by, idunno if this is the same blend they used. Probably not tbh because my Huan Jin Gui is pretty high quality and no one making teabags should waste such a beautiful tea for such a low quality product like that. But I digress...🍃Tea is tea is tea🍃at the end of the day. It’s all the same plant yo! So I figure this should - for all intents and purposes - be close enough to theirs, assuming ofc that their product really is just 💯 tea as they claim. Either way, it tastes good!
