melon monday smiles🍉
have you smiled yet today? if not, i need you to look in the mirror at some point before you get back in bed this evening and tell yourself 1 positive compliment that makes you smile at yourself because you’re speaking the truth to yourself.
i’ll go first — “hey J, you’re so freakin great at taking to-do lists, breaking them apart and tackling them piece by piece to tackle all the goals!” alright your turn, drop them below so i know you did it!
What are you waiting for? What’s holding you back? What’s stopping you from sharing your authentic self with the world?
You see, yesterday I was chatting with a colleague at work. At the end of the conversation she told me, “Roxy you are bigger than Microsoft and one day we will be working for you!”
Now, I don’t share that from a level of self notoriety! However, I share that to say, let it go!
Whatever you didn’t accomplish, whoever didn’t believe in you, and whoever made you feel bad.
Let it go and follow your heart, now.
Don’t wait for them to give you more reasons on why you aren’t good enough.
“When I think about what empowerment actually feels like, it’s hard to put my finger on it. Maybe it’s the moment when I’ve heard a friend describe a challenge in her life, and I feel a bond forming from being there for her. Maybe it’s in the moment I have a problem, and someone reaches out to help me find a solution. It could also be that time I was alone, when I looked at everything around me and acknowledged to myself that I am enough, exactly as I am.” 🌀 .
Today as we celebrate International Women’s Day, we appreciate all of the Ellevate members who show up at events to enrich your lives. And—by connecting with others, you offer your support and strength to your entire community of women. ✊ .
It is a true joy to build our network of women who lift each other up. We see it in action at every event we host. You matter. You make the difference. Cheers to you, ladies! 👏
