#EarthCapture by @caipriestleyphotography in Canada 'Sometimes it pays off when you head out to look for wildlife in the rain. There are usually far fewer people about, and if you're really lucky, you might just bump into a beautiful black wolf lying in the middle of the road. These unexpected encounters are always the most memorable.' . . . . . #wolf #blackwolf #canada #canadianwildlife #wildlife #wildlifephotography #bbcearth #earthlovers #earth #planetearth #nature #naturelovers #naturephotography #travelcanada #travelhappy
#EarthCapture takeover by @caipriestleyphotography in Canada 'A critically endangered female woodland caribou in the foothills of the Alberta Rockies. These rare ungulates are down to just a few individuals in certain herds across BC and Alberta. Despite repeated assurances of protective actions from government and industry, resource extraction has increased, pushing caribou in many areas to the brink of extinction.' . . . . . #caribou #canada #rockies #animals #wildlife #wildlifephotography #nature #naturephotography #naturelovers #bbcearth #earthlovers #planetearth #travelhappy #explorecanada #travelphotography
#EarthCapture by @caipriestleyphotography in Canada 'It's not common to see a grizzly bear with three healthy cubs in the Rockies, so this was a very special morning. I spent an hour with this family as they grazed on dandelions along the side of this quiet road as the sun rose above the peaks. Many bears, both grizzlies and black bears, feed along the roadside in the spring, so it's really important to stay below the speed limit and keep a close eye on any wildlife that might be crossing. Far too many animals are killed each year in the National Parks due to careless driving, so please be careful!' . . . . . #bear #canada #grizzlybear #brownbear #explorecanada #travelcanada #travel #travelphotography #travelhappy #bbcearth #earthlovers #earth #nature #naturelovers #naturephotography #wildlife #wildlifephotography #babyanimals #cute #cuteanimals
#EarthCapture takeover with @caipriestleyphotography in Canada 'A curious black cross-fox kit exploring the area outside its den. For the last three years in a row, I've been returning to this remote stretch of coastline in Northern British Columbia to photograph the foxes that live there. Each year I have some luck finding new den sites with kits, but I'm yet to top this very first encounter which keeps me coming back every spring.' . . . . . #fox #foxkit #cub #wildlife #canada #canadianwildlife #animals #animallovers #cute #cuteanimals #explorecanada #britishcolumbia #nature #naturephotography #bbcearth #planetearth #earth #earthlovers
#EarthCapture by @4elementphotos An impressive male leopard captured in South Africa. Leopards are the least social of the African big cats, and after the lion, is the next-biggest. They will either ambush or stalk their prey, and then drag it to a tree so that the carcass can be protected against scavengers. . . . . #bbcearth #animallovers #naturelovers #wildlifephotography #earthlovers #amazinganimals #planetearth #travel #travelphotography #leopard #wildlife #southafrica

#EarthCapture by Martin Dolan Today is #WorldPhotographyDay and we're celebrating by sharing some of our favourites that showcase the beauty of our planet! A special moment in Kimmeridge Bay, Dorset. "Once on location, the fierce winds were unforgiving. The beautiful edges where the dolomite bedrock meets the sea were being pounded by the waves. Even 20-30 metres back we were feeling the sea spray hit out faces. I was immediately hooked by the action at the edge, I was convinced that this was 'the' place to be. Five minutes in and a huge wave, which I saw coming, engulfed me, my camera, my bag - everything!" . . . . . #coasts #ocean #oceanscapes #dorset #kimmeridge #geology #sunset #waves #photography #landscape #landscapephotography #nature #naturelovers #bbcearth #earth #planetearth #earthlovers

🤦‍♀️ These images are all from the last few days at Horsey in Norfolk, where plastic pollution is causing issues for the local seal colonies. @rosiebphotography witnessed three seals caught in netting and with plastic rings round their necks. It can be difficult for rescuers to catch the affected seals, having to wait for the seals to become weaker so they can be helped.
