Alexis and Brian

Come along with me and my family on our adventures in living small, traveling, and living the dream in the beautiful PNW! πŸ‘πŸŒ§β˜”οΈπŸ”

As you may know, we recently increased our chicken family size from three to five. We have a hard time already eating the three eggs a day, how are we supposed to keep up with five a day?! I would love to hear some recipes for eating these delicious eggs!
No one is getting past these guard chickens. Mother of Dragons? No thanks, I’m the Mother of Chickens.
Another one down! Man it feels good. πŸ’₯ One thing though, does anyone else get annoyed that if you are one day late with a payment, the lender sends you an email...but it takes THEM a month or more to clear your loan and mark it paid in full? πŸ’₯ All the more reason to keep knocking down this debt monster!
Last weekend we explored Yakima, Washington for the first time. It was so much fun! We saw a rattlesnake (I saved Brian’s life), the wildflowers were stunning, and the weather was awesome! β˜€οΈ Staycationing is one of the best ways that we have found to not blow our budget, and still quiet my wanderlust. It helps a whole lot that we live in such a beautiful state! β˜€οΈ What travel tips do you have?
It feels like just yesterday that our home was delivered and we began this amazing journey!
This gem popped up in my Facebook feed yesterday. What a great reminder of all that we have accomplished since this photo was taken: living intentionally, our debt free journey, and direction of our lives generally. Also, how has it been two years already?! We need to have an anniversary party for our house. Happy two years Juniper! πŸŽ‰ 🎈 🎊
There are worse places to do dishes.
Nothing cleans a house quite like the fear of company 🀣
I’m going to let you in on a secret...are you ready? 🌎 You don’t have to be a perfect environmentalist to make a difference, you just have to try. 🌍 Want to hear another secret? 🌏 You can make a difference exactly as you are right now. 🌎 You don’t have to wait until you can buy something: the electric car, glass straw, fancy reusable mug, etc. 🌍 You don’t have to wait until you have β€˜more time’. 🌏 You don’t have to wait until the weekend. 🌎 You don’t have to wait for the next earth day. 🌍 You don’t have to wait for anyone, or anything. Ever. 🌏 You have everything you need to make a difference right now. You are a perfect part of nature. You are an exquisite, compassionate being of this world. You matter, because nature matters. 🌎 Just do one thing. Anything. Pick up a piece of trash in the hallway. Watch the Earth music video by Lil Dicky. Read that article about the coral reefs you’ve been saving. Just one thing today will turn into 365 things later. So what’s stopping you? 🌍 Tell me what you envision for the future of our planet.πŸ‘‡πŸ» Dream big. What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? 🌎
Say hello to Cooper! Living in a tiny house can be challenging. Especially for an 80 pound dog. He is, of course, the best dog on the planet and doesn’t complain. πŸ• We know that he doesn’t have a lot of space to hang out inside the house, so we are glad we have acreage for him to stretch his legs. πŸ• He is a true sport and seems to enjoy his life of minimal square footage, though I do wish there was a way to give him some sort of entertainment while we are away working. πŸ• If anyone has any suggestions to keep this pup happy in this small space, we’d love to hear it!

I was going through some of the photos and videos from my cruise today, and I stumbled across this beauty and had to share. Just a couple days before the ship docked in Portland, we came across a pod of Dall’s porpoise that decided to play off the ships bow. My roommate took this amazing footage; the sea was so calm and clear you can see the porpoises playing in the wake underwater. What a treat! πŸŽ₯: @daydreameredith
