Thank you to everyone that took time to wish me Happy Birthday and to those who also gave me a call I really appreciated it. Someone asked me yesterday, What have I learned so far in life? I said that I’ve learned to pay attention to the signs. So many people get lost in the shuffle of life trying to “figure it out” that they end up missing what’s right in front of them. These pictures were taken many years apart but the message is the same, I’ve always been who I was meant to be. 😘
I’m much more me when I’m with you... Happy Valentine’s Day my love...❤️❤️❤️❤️🙈🙊
Little know fact in Black History today: Bayard Rustin (March 17, 1912 – Aug. 24, 1987) Bayard Rustin was a prominent socialist activist in the civil rights movement who advocated for racial equality, LGBT rights and women's rights. He was one of the organizers of the March on Washington and the first Freedom Ride called the "Journey of Reconciliation." Many of the ideals Martin Luther King Jr. used, Rustin learned from leaders of Gandhi's nonviolent movement. He was also a supporter of Ghana and Nigeria's liberation. By the end of his life, he lived openly as a gay man but never stopped fighting for those who needed him. #blackhistorymonth #nowyouknow #eachoneteachone #americanhistory
